ESXi & scratch partition
Posted by NiTRo | Filed under VMware
Un peu comme pour les proverbes chinois, tout devient plus clair lorsque c’est Olivier Cremel himself qui parle de la partition scratch d’ESXi :
[ESXi on an SD Card] For ESXi, it is 1GB if installing on flash/SD. It is also 1GB if installing on disk, but 5GB is recommended for auto creation of the scratch partition. That partition is not required and can be created after the fact but it’s easier and more trouble-free to have the system create it. Note that it is never created on flash/SD, so for that support, the number is always 1GB and the scratch will go elsewhere.
Maintenant vous n’avez plus d’excuses.
